Within the scope of Module 4 of the Technology Transfer Office:
The Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights (IPR) and Contract Management Unit provides consultancy services to academics, students, industrial partners, and entrepreneurs on patents, utility models, trademarks, and industrial designs. It also offers technical support in the evaluation of inventions, monitoring of application processes, and management of contractual procedures through coordination and communication with the contracting parties.
What Does the Intellectual Property Rights and Contract Management Unit Do?
- Provides training programs to raise awareness and enhance knowledge regarding industrial property rights.
- Conducts preliminary patentability and commercialization assessments of inventions disclosed through the Invention Disclosure Form.
- Manages national and international application and registration processes.
- Conducts and manages licensing negotiations and licensing processes.
- Prepares confidentiality agreements, license agreements, assignment agreements, and collaboration agreements.
